Badges for Blood!
Already local heroes in York County, members of the Sheriff’s Office and EMS competed against one another to see who could donate more blood. These men and women came out to support their community members, when blood donations are in extreme need. The first drive started at Piedmont Medical, in the end of June. This drive lasted 2 days, and resulted in a tie. To even the playing field, the tiebreaker blood drive was held at the Sheriff’s Office. Men and women who save lives daily in their community came out in such numbers, that up to 408 lives will be saved.
Who donated more blood? The Sheriff’s Office! They won a nifty blood drop trophy, bragging rights and will be locking up EMS employee Robert White for an evening. Who will win next year?
